Maddy at Sea with Tea

So my aunt asked me to draw a bunch of art to put on the walls of her daycare. She wanted them by the time she'd come down from Tennessee and from the time she asked, I was pretty much given less than a month while I was still really busy with other stuff. She also said she was "very picky" about what she wanted although she never said what it was she was looking for. So I just drew a bunch of my characters really fast. In the end, she only wanted African American characters-- or characters that could pass as African American. I didn't actually end up getting them printed and she requested that I do everything in a different way, so none of these actually ended up on her wall. Lol

I think this was the last one I drew so I was just... done. I stopped caring about... anatomy, coloring, etc. It was like whatever time in the morning, I had to get up super early for them; I finished this half-assedly and you can tell. Like, Akla was even supposed to be in this; I drew one line and was like, "SCREW IT". So yeah. I don't like this picture. Anyway, I always try to draw Maddy in different clothes but it's hard to identify her style of clothes because she kinda doesn't have one.;; I just kinda draw her in whatever. I tried to give her a different hairstyle too, but I think I made her hair too big, ha hah.;;

My aunt didn't accept this one because Maddy was too white for her. Closed-minded but...;; Anyway, Maddy from Red Handed.
